Hardware

The tag that fits your product.

A small NFC tag your customer taps with a phone, and a label on the box your warehouse reads from a distance. No reader to buy, no app to install for a check.

Tags start at $0.99 each for the standard label at pilot volumes. Other formats and chips are quoted for your product line.

A cream handbag, a wine bottle, a cosmetics jar, a glass vial and a folded blue sweater, each with a small white NFC tag, above four tag formats: a round coin tag, a square label, a slim strip and a fabric loop.

Where it goes

Four places a tag can live.

Placement is worked out with your production people so the tag survives the factory, the shelf and the customer. These are the formats we fit most.

Inside a lining

Leather goods, apparel, footwear

A small label sewn or bonded inside the product where the customer can tap it but cannot see it. It stays with the item for life and survives normal wear.

Under a label

Bottles, jars, cosmetics, parts

The tag sits under or inside the product label on glass, plastic or metal. The customer taps the label; the chip underneath answers.

On the packaging

Sealed boxes, pharma, electronics

A tamper-evident label across the seal. Open the box and the antenna breaks, so the next tap shows the seal was broken.

On the carton

Warehouses, docks, pallets

A longer-range RFID label on the shipping carton, read by gates and conveyors from metres away without opening anything.

What a tap proves

A fresh signed answer, every time.

Each tap makes the chip sign a new one-time code with a key that never leaves the chip. Our service checks the signature before it shows a result. A copied label has no chip, so it has no signature and no record. A photo of the tag proves nothing.

That is also the honest limit. A tap proves this exact chip was present and what its record says. It does not judge the condition of the item or settle who legally owns it. The record does that work, and people read it.

Pick the chip for the job

One standard. Three options when your product needs more.

Every option is commercial NXP silicon. The record, the app and the check work the same way; the chip changes what the tag can carry and how it signs. Options are specified and quoted per pilot.

NTAG 424 DNAStandard

The standard tag

The tag every pilot starts with and the one we keep in stock. It signs every tap, carries the product link and the record pointer, and is certified by an independent lab. It comes as a label, a coin or a sewn-in inlay, and the tamper-evident version reports a broken seal on every later tap.

  • Signs every tap (SUN)
  • Common Criteria EAL4+ chip
  • Label, coin or sewn-in inlay
  • Tamper-evident version available
NTAG 22x DNAOption

The budget tag

For high-volume lines where every cent matters. The same signed tap, less memory, a slightly lower certification level. Available in a laundry-grade encapsulation for apparel, so the tag survives the wash cycle with the garment.

  • Signs every tap
  • Less memory, lowest unit cost
  • Machine-washable format for apparel
  • Same phone tap as the standard

Data on the chip

For products that should carry their own warranty terms, care notes or service history, readable by a phone with no network at all. The same space can hold handling rules that a robot or an appliance reads before it acts on the item. A care sheet fits; a full manual does not.

  • Up to 8 KB on the chip
  • Rules for robots and appliances
  • Separate zones with separate keys
  • Works with no internet
NTAG X DNAOption

Public-key tag

For defence, aerospace and anyone who needs a tag that can be checked without sharing a secret key. Each chip holds its own private key and signs with public-key cryptography. With about twice the memory of the data option, it has room for the full manual and the service history, offline.

  • Asymmetric signatures (ECC)
  • About 16 KB on the chip: manuals, service history
  • Highest certification level
  • On-chip private key

Tamper protection is a modifier, not a tier. Any of these can be fitted as a tamper-evident label that reports a broken seal on every later tap, or on a substrate that destroys the antenna when peeled.

Two layers, one record

  1. ItemNTAG 424 DNA tag on the product. Tap range. Proves the item, read by the customer's phone.
  2. CartonNXP UCODE RAIN label on the shipping box. Read from metres away at gates, docks and conveyors.
  3. PalletA UCODE label on the pallet, so a whole shipment is counted in one pass.

Box and pallet

The warehouse never opens the box.

The item tag is for the customer. For shipping, the carton gets its own longer-range label that dock gates and warehouse readers pick up without unpacking. Every checkpoint that reads it is added to the product record, so a lost shipment already has a last known location.

Both layers carry the same product link, in the GS1 Digital Link format, which keeps the data compatible with the EU Digital Product Passport.

Readers

You already own the readers.

Your customers

Any modern smartphone. No app is required for a check; the phone reads the tag and opens the record.

Your team at a desk

A standard USB NFC reader for enrolling products in the business app.

Your warehouse

The handheld and dock-door RFID readers most warehouses already run read the carton label.
